It looks like it dead, but maybe we could rejuvenate it.

Yeah, I don't know about the Yahoo group...it and other cacophony mailing lists elsewhere have gone defunct. Something more robust like proper forums, like this site, a blog or a social network may work better.
chicagocacophony.org exists now, just the forums work.

Well, let me see if I can get the person to give us that domain name, and I was thinking after this year's SantaCon, converting this site into the Chicago Cacophony Society main site.  And then next year's SantaCon will be held by Chicago Cacophony Society.

Maybe we can get the momentum started again.  I would like to see more activities throughout the year.  I have some ideas myself for some interesting activities/events.

There is actually an active Cacophony group in Chicago. http://chicagocacophony.org/ as well as the http://www.psys.org/mailman/listinfo/noise mailing list are both by us. The Chicago Cacophony domain one was done with donated hosting only a few months ago, hence the loose ends. http://www.planetshwoop.com/noise/ was the original site and also where the mailing list is still hosted. Right now, the best way to get in touch with other Cacophony members for projects would be through the mailing list. There are also semi-regular meeting for the organization that are usually held once a month. There are some long term projects that have been having trouble getting traction due to low active membership, so if you guys are interested, it would be greatly appreciated.
